Day 3

After checking out of our hotel, we attended mass at the Salzburg Carhedral. Over 1,000 people, insence and the font for the Holy water was larger than a bird bath!

Then onto the Erzabtei St. Peter & Katakomben.

Karsten at the bell tower.

A view from the top of the catacombs overlooking the cemetery.

Note all the steeples in such close proximity!  It seems the structures are very large, but it has a "small town feel".

Then on to the Festung Hohensalzburg Fortress via cable car.

Followed by a walk around the Easter Market. And a much needed break!   Michelle and Tara opted for Steigal and Kar and I had tea...nothing like we have had before.

Then a beautiful drive through the mountains to Konigssee, the highest lake in Germany just 5 Km south of Bershtesgaden. Wedged into Austria and framed by the Bavarian Alps. Many
Market shops dot the lake shore

We have sewn so much I'm such a short time!  And still have five days to go!! Headed back to Munich for the night!
